Forex Pivot Point Trading

The pivot point trading Forex Trading

Pivot points are some exciting trigger points for traders to take posts in the foreign exchange market, and transactions in stocks, although this is more or less widely used in the Forex Market. Calculation of the turning points is quite simple and makes the day negotiation of a hectic if you got your calculations right.

So what is a turning point? Very surprisingly, the pivot point is one in which the market changes direction for the day.

How to calculate the pivot points?
Applying the simple formula for the calculation:
Pivot Point for day = High (previous) + Low (previous) + Close (Previous)
3
In short turning point for the current day is equal to half the maximum, minimum and previous day's close. After having calculated the turning point, we need to know from media and resistance type three levels each for the day Current. Here are the formulas to use for the purpose.
R3 = High + 2 * (Pivot – Low)
R2 = Pivot + (R1 – S1)
R1 = 2 * Pivot – Low
S1 = 2 * Pivot – High
S2 = Pivot – (R1 – S1)
S3 = Low – 2 * (High – Pivot)

So you have 7 points all together, three resistors and 3 support and a pivot point. Most of the action is going to be around S1, R1 and turning points for the day. This is because the market could arrive in time R2, R3 or S2, S3 is already over bought or sold.

In the future, it would be an invitation to go short term if the market opens below the pivot and long term if otherwise. However, real world strategies differ greatly from this ideal situation.

Trading strategies using Pivot Points
There are several strategies days spent for the merchant can use the pivot point. Some of them are rather simple, while others are advanced, where you have to consult other indicators as the MACD.

Basically, in all levels of support and resistance levels, if the investing rend you have the opportunity to enter long positions, or positions short and put stop-losses during low or high, respectively. Sometimes the market moves away from a support that is a short entry signal. This trend continued during long time if at that time, the MACD is in sell mode.

It is wise for the dealer to refer to the MACD critical stages prior to entering positions.
