MLM and Network Marketing is a legitimate business or just a Ponzi scheme Pyramid?
This question of whether MLM and network marketing is a Ponzi scheme pyramid or a legitimate business model is one area that can be filled with heated debate. There are many people involved with MLM and other forms of marketing network and most of them will give you a very emotionally charged argument that this is a legitimate business.
Some companies have legitimate products and services and use marketing to its distribution network. These products and services that people buy because they find value in them. Most network marketing companies with products and services that most people would not buy if you do not have the opportunity attached to it. So where draw the line between a legitimate business and a pyramid ponzi scheme? Some would say it is a question of whether the product is a good value that people would buy even without a business opportunity attached to it. Some say the time is a product that is legitimate. Then there are many who say that none of that matters, and they are all pyramid scheme Ponzi.
In reality it comes down to a matter of opinion. People have their own opinions on how to judge the industry and probably will not change. What is probably more important is the fact that most of those who are involved with these programs will never make much money with them and lose more money. There is a small percentage who earn too much money, but more than 95% of people fail when they get involved regardless of the stability of the companies are, how they are structured and how their products are good.
So, does that mean that the industry is a scam? Not necessarily, some do well with it. But it is professionals with expertise and many years of experience. What may be considered a scam is how these programs are promoted as a way for ordinary people to make easy money. In reality, network marketing is very difficult for most people. They are much easier ways to make money, but when the opportunity is not dependent on the sale of the opportunity to make money, do not hear much about them the way they do with network marketing.
Independently whether you believe that the forms of MLM and network marketing is a Ponzi or pyramid scheme a legitimate business model, the fact is most people do not make much or any money with any of them.
