Forex Market Closes

When the currency markets Close – Can you really trade 24 to 7?
When Close exchange markets
Open Sunday is the first opportunity for the Forex Market to react to any news and events that developed from the close of business on Friday. Prices may close the trading week on a level and begin to trade weeks at different levels depending on the Weekend news and events. Because of this, no wonder the price "gap" higher or lower at the start of the trading week.
Here are the foreign exchange market hours of the major financial markets expressed in Eastern Standard Time here in the U.S.:
New York opens at 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST
Sydney opens at 5:00 pm to 2:00 am EST
Tokyo opened at 7:00 pm to 4:00 am EST
London opens at 3:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm EST
Just because the forex market is open 24 hours a day throughout the world does not mean that you should try to trade an hour of each session, market. Each session of the market has its own personality and volatility. When Fx Market Close
The market is more volatile during the first hour or so of each trading session as the market reacts the previous meeting and fundamental reports and advertisements are published. Sometimes it's best to stay away these days and avoid volatile conditions.
One of the best times to trade is the superposition of the London and U.S. sessions 8:00 am EST to 12:00 EST. The market tends to be most active during this time with the liquidity and trading volume at its highest level. Some of the most significant price movements occur during this time.
During the U.S. session the market tends to cool in the evening just after the close of the London meeting. This can make for challenging trading conditions due to reduced liquidity which may cause excessive and irregular price movement. When Fx Markets Collapse
Holidays will also affect liquidity and price action. Unlike stock and futures exchanges, the forex market is ticking for the holidays. Different countries observe holiday different. It might be Thanksgiving in the U.S., but as usual in London and Tokyo. Also, a holiday in Tokyo will be just another trading day U.S. and London. The only holiday in common around the world is New Year's Day and if markets are open or not depends on what day of the week be.
The Forex Market Hours allow plenty of opportunities for trade and profit throughout the day. Because each market session is different, always use a demo account for trading in the market session (s) you plan to negotiate to get a feel for the unique personality in each market. Never blindly start trading your own money in a market that has not been extensively tested and experienced. When Fx Market Close
