Forex: No psychological limitations

Before, when I started learning about investing, I decided to start from the beginning and read basic books personal finance as well as guides to the understanding of all global investment in a nutshell. Most of these authors were very knowledgeable and informative, but their investment advice was too conservative for my taste. They literally write chapter after chapter talking about the differences between conservative investment, which they usually yields around 5% per year, compared to "risk" usually means invest a diverse population of mutual fund portfolio performance (in my mind) only slightly higher averages. What kind of benefits can be expected in the stock market? Well, say the market has risen an average 10% a year since Adam and Eve. Popular indexes like the Dow and the now more popular S & P500 ever, as real estate, "Gone with the time."

Now, the market averages are almost worshiped as golden calves. Repeatedly drilled into my brain the idea that there were hundreds (if not thousands) of fund managers and other "professionals" around with Harvard degrees, decades of experience, millions dollars under management, and they were all spending 15 hours a day consumes every bit of market information in the hope of defeating these golden calves for a few points.

What chance had I? If the Dr. Guru Jr. Fund who eats, sleeps, breathes the markets and has more credentials than I have hairs on my body can always make 20% a year … well … Forget child … chances are slim to none. I think it's going to buy shares of XYZ fund and accept the crumbs gurus table of values.

NO!

The Forex Market offers many benefits that the stock market does not have. Most of them have been beaten to death in various forums, blogs, articles, books, etc. However, it is always good to reiterate the positive (my personal reason is last):
Forex Offers unprecedented liquidity. With over two trillion dollars traded per day in the market, you need to fill any purchase / sale for virtually instantaneous. That means less slippage and more profitable. "Trade Paper" with the communities share swap is actually very different, because the orders may not be filled in a timely manner. The difference between a forex trading demo accout and a real account is practically nil.
– Forex is available 24 hours day 5.5 days a week, compared with the hours of the trading day of the bags.
– Forex is uncontrollable by large entities. Wealthy, banks and fund managers who all his weight around in the stock market can often have huge effects on price action. Due to the huge volume of foreign exchange traded per day, the market is unmoved by heavyweights. Even central banks can control the currency market.
– Forex offers up to 200:1 leverage influence compared with values 2-1.
– Forex has no restriction on short selling, instead of "stock market rally" rule
– Forex can actually be traded within an IRA or Roth IRA.
Forex Gains are taxed at a rate 60/40 favorite, no matter what style of trading (Intra-day swing, position) compared to the tax penalties for holding stocks for short periods of time.

The list goes on, but for me the biggest advantage is psychological. I know that probably sounds silly, but fear and intimidation, sometimes unconsciously defeat us, even before begin. I do not like the idea of having to keep up, and in some ways, compete with "professional managers" who have more knowledge of the fundamentals of markets than it ever will be. It's almost like currency in some way, levels the playing field. They have to compete psychologically against the idea that anyone that such statements are "acceptable and realistic" and what kind of statements are "pure fantasy." I have no more than the trade until it can find acceptable to reward risk ratio, profitability and consistent with it.
