Now that 2010 is underway, it's time to start thinking about how the rest of the year will be well. In this article, I want to share my predictions for the U.S. dollar 2010. As always, the predictions are quite personal and it is based on my opinion only, so you need to make their own decisions.
That said, I believe (and have said before) that this will be a very good year for the USD. In fact, the currency U.S. ended 2009 on a high note and has been going strong ever since, rising about 10% against the euro.
I predict that the dollar still has way to go and indeed may continue to increase in relation to several major currencies and exotic all year. I base this prediction on the following:
1. It is very clear that Europe is in a mess. Greece is about to pay off their loans and there is still no clear plan of aid from other countries Eurobloc. Other members of the EU seems unstable as well, including Spain, Portugal, Italy and Ireland. How will big European countries to be able to help all its weakest members? This is partly why the euro has weakened, which may continue to weaken in relation to the dollar. Dollar Euro Forex Trading Forecast
2. Japan is also on shaky ground with a growing deficit and other financial matters. Some say the yen will fall sooner rather than later. This also means that the dollar will rise in 2010.
3. Apparently the law of health reform President Obama promises is stuck in Congress will not pass in its current form. I'm not taking any political position here, but if a bill approved is smaller, the U.S. deficit in the coming years is likely to be smaller, or at least what the market will believe. This will give new impetus the dollar.
4. The U.S. economy seems to be recovering, albeit slowly, and there is even talk of a rise in interest rates. If these types are actually raised (and this seems likely), then the U.S. dollar certainly rise as it becomes more attractive to investors worldwide.
For all these reasons for predicting that 2010 will be positive for the dollar and that will remain the global currency of choice. Forex Euro Dollar Forecast
