Forex Trading Times – When is the best time to trade in Forex?
A question many unseasoned forex traders is to ask about times about Forex trading: When is the best time to Trade Forex? Unlike other markets, foreign exchange transactions 24 / 7 (Actually 24 / 5). The Forex Market opens for trade on Sunday night (17:00 GMT) and closes to businessagain Friday afternoon (16:00 EST). When the Asian market is the closure, the European market opens, then the U.S. market until the Asian market reopens.
So this means to you that you as a forex trader have complete freedom when to trade.
Not all times are equally profitable trading for currency trading.
So the question is going to do is probably: When to trade?
We will try to answer that question.
Asian Session (Tokyo) (1900: 04 am EST):
The session of the Asian currency trading begins at 7 pm EST (12 GMT) and closes at 4 am EST (21:00 GMT). At this point the Forex market the most traded currencies are GBP / JPY GBP / CHF and USD / JPY. These currency pairs can fluctuate 110 pips.
U.S. Session (New York) (8 AM: 17:00 EST):
The U.S. meeting begins at 8 am EST and closes at 17:00 ET. U.S. is a moderate to highly volatile session due to their interaction in other markets such as the Bolsa or bond market. The most traded currency pairs now arethis forex trading session: GBP / USD, GBP / JPY and USD / JPY, which fluctuate around 95 pips. There is also trading in USD / EUR and USD / CAD.
European Session (London) (2 AM: 24:00 EST)
London is the most important commercial center and influential in a market share exceeding 30%. Most of all trades in the Forex market are run these days forex trading because of the liquidity and efficiency market.
All major currency pairs traded during this session. For the risk of loving traders GBP / JPY and GBP / CHF fluctuations have very high and even exceeding 140 pips.
